Celebrating the life and legacy of

Veronica Lassen

Saturday, March 20, 2010

It was on an early Spring day that Family and friends from near and far gathered at Community Congregational U.C.C. in Pullman, Washington to celebrate the life and gifts and wisdom of Veronica Lassen.

Unitarians, Christians, Buddhists, Sufis, and others remembered Veronica’s passion for peace and non-violent communication, her midwifery skills with which she brought so many dearly loved children into the world, as well as her deep spiritual presence that helped us become more TOGETHER than we could ever be in isolation from one another.

And so we remembered. We prayed. We joined in a common meal. We danced Dances Of Universal Peace. We told stories and laughed and cried, and became ONE community. Together, we offered witness to holy possibility in the midst of a world too-often divided. It was a truth Veronica had been living all along.

For such, and more, we give thanks for Veronica’s presence in our pasts, even while we miss her deeply in the now.
